Strip Club Names:
Clubs refer to themselves under a variety of type. Some are strip clubs, others use gentlemens club, show bar or cabaret. GO GO bars usually refer to clubs where the dancers wear bikinis. And the endless variations for gentlemen including gentlemen's, gentleman, and gentleman's club. Showbar is also frequently used. Less common is Lounge. There is no consistency on calling a club one or the other.
People also refer to strip clubs as titty bars, nudie bars, topless clubs, and juice bars. Juice bars typically feature Nude dancers and don't serve alcohol but vary as to whether or not you can bring your own beer.
Because states, cities, and alcohol boards vary on regulation of strip clubs, the style of (un)dress also varies widely. The most common is topless with a thong that's at least one inch wide.
Even in places where the government says nipples have to be covered, you'll find a lot of places where the dancers cover the areola with latex instead of actual pasties.
Nude clubs in many states can't serve alcohol. Those are frequently called "juice bars".

Listings
Reviews and opinions of strip clubs are also included. Some of the reviews are by the Wize Old Man but most are submitted by readers like you. You will see opinionated reviews for sure. What you won't find are the flame wars typical of other review sites.
Every review is viewed by a human to ensure that personal attacks on clubs or individuals don't get posted. Also to keep any of the 100s of spam email received every date. This is time consuming but necessary; therefore your review might not get posted for up to 72 hours after being send. We have to sleep sometime!
The Wize Old Man attempts to verify that the web site links listed for clubs are correct at the time of submission. Other than that, none of the information is verified.
Opinions
All sections are liberally sprinkled with opinions. Some opinions are the Wize Old Man's. Some are from readers. Please remember that the opinions are just that -- opinions. Worst, they may be based on just one visit which could have been right after the star dancer's car was repossessed. Dancers tend to come and go so you won't find a list of specific entertainers. You would also be "wize" to remember that club ratings from users are not a good guide. Some club owners, managers, or dancers will give there club an "A" rating and the competition an "F". :-)
