09/2009 Wize Old Man, mark this club as closed. What a shame. It was one of the best strip clubs in this whole country. New laws in Houston County make it illegal to start a new strip club and extremely difficult to maintain a club already existing before the law was enacted.

I suppose the clubs inside the city of Dothan will fall first, followed by the clubs that are located in remote areas of Houston County hoping to go unnoticed. The last to fall will be the clubs that can actually pass the stringent undercover investigations... they will become so benign from complying with the law that they will lose business and self-implode. ~Buck
09/08 The Champagne Lounge is located right on the northern edge of downtown Dothan, making it directly adjacent to the hood, which is within walking distance of the club. Hence, about 99% of the patrons and dancers are African American, and the parking space is very limited.
There is no cover charge, which is awesome. The club is small to medium size with one bar, one medium size stage, and about four private dance booths.
The music is a little loud making it hard to hear and carry on conversation, but then again, most strip clubs are like that. Anyway, about 80% of the dancers are very attractive. About 10% of the dancers are attractive beyond belief.
On Wednesday night, there were about 8 dancers working the club, but you were lucky to see one or two of them before about 9:00 pm because the patrons seem to all stream in past midnight. The club closes at 2:00 am. A private/VIP dance costs $20 per song, and most of the dancers do a great job on the dance, so it is really worth the money.
There is one odd thing though. When it is a dancer's turn in the rotation to dance on stage, it seems like they have to dance to 3 to 5 songs on stage no matter what. Even if you want a private dance with a girl on stage, you have to wait until she completes her 3 to 5 song rotation before you can have her. On another note, the bar sells beer and liquor (which is awesome), but it is very pricey at $7.00 per shot of liquor.
Also, the bouncers, dancers, and patrons seem very respectful and friendly, so do not be afraid if you happen to be the only white guy in the club. Bottom line, if you are into black women and want excellent private dances for a fair price, then this is definitely the place for you. ~Buck

04/06 The dancers are really hard workers any they do there best to please the customer, so everyone is welcome to come and have a good time with everybody there. They have happy hour on Tuesdays where the beer is a dollar and they have hot wings for you to eat. It is a good club.
Please tell their webmaster to get a clue. Maybe the Wize Old Man just expects too much but, really, the web site has neither address nor phone number. -- WOM
