My second or third visit here. I just read the review posted in Feb of 2009 about the girls not being allowed to ask for a private dance. I would agree with this. I sat at the stage and tipped the girls and was very surprised that they got nude. Every dancer completed 3 songs and they got nude on the 2nd or 3rd song. Some got nude much faster than others. The girls were very friendly on stage. I had nice conversations with them. They were attractive and pleasant to speak with. Only one girl of six or seven had silicone. Young and experienced dancers. I had a good time and I would return. There was no cover on the night I was there.
In order for me to get a dance, I had to walk 30 feet to the bar and ask the girl for a dance. I only had time for one dance... it was $20 in the main section. There is a private area in the back that is more money.
I only rate this a "B" because it is still a dive. Not very well maintained building. No smoking laws make it less stinky than before. I do recommend this place, but it is not the greatest. If you are in Missoula, Montana, it is worth a stop. You can get in and out from the freeway with ease. (06/10)
Read the review WOM, I used to work at Fred's. Yes, tough place. The owner does not permit dancers to speak with other employees outside the club. You have to turn in all of your tips to be counted at the end of the evening by someone else. The worst part, the girls are not allowed to ask for a dance. If we are asked, great..if not then that's to bad for us. The owner may have changed some things in the last 5 years, but I doubt it. I had a great time while there, but the rules are ridiculous. When you return, keep in mind that not all of the girls hate being there, and ASK for that dance! (02/09)
Really strange that dancers can't ask for dances since most men like to be asked. There is a fine line between asking and pestering but if you sit with a customer for two songs then ask that's about right. - WOM
Someone told me that this club has been recently remodeled. That may be true. However, I first went here about 10 years ago... and I was there again last night. It looked the same to me on the inside. Maybe they put in new restrooms, and did some exterior work? I could not tell. It was the same grungy dive that it was 10 years ago.
Last night there were about five different dancers working. They were all pretty cute, but only 2 of the 5 were friendly. And even those two were not very friendly. The other 3 dancers refused eye contact and refused to even say hello as they took my one dollar bills.
No one ever asked me for a lap dance or private dance... even though I was ready for one. One girl was really cute, but she did not work the crowd after dancing, just like the other dancers. After two songs, during which some dancers got naked and others got really close to being naked, the dancers would leave the dance area / stage area and walk over to the bar and chat with the bartender, DJ, or manager.
I never understood why they did not want to work the crowd for private dances. I should tell you that this club is right next to the freeway, at a large motel/truck stop/ gas station/ restaurant complex. Lots of big rigs parked in the lot. Very good big rig parking.
I got the impression that this was a tough place to work... and a tough bar. Not friendly for a husband and wife. Or any kind of couple. Although there appeared to be a lesbian couple having a good time. Still... not a very friendly place. The bartender and waitress were nice, and they were cute young ladies. They were much more friendly than most of the dancers.
If you are in Missoula, this is easy to find and easy to return to the freeway.
I hope you have a better time here than I did. I will not be returning any time soon. (07/07)
It's impossible to explain why dancers ignore some people. It even happens to the Wize Old Man from time to time. Being at a truck stop, it's possible they just ignore anyone who's not a trucker. Otherwize, just attribute it to the phase of the moon and don't let it stop you from going back. -- WOM
